Training Room

Our training room services are not initiated until the underlying condition has been properly advanced diagnostic tools, including musculoskeletal ultrasound, to guide accurate diagnosis and optimize treatment outcomes. This team-based approach to care ensures an appropriate diagnosis and that each individual receives safe, effective, and personalized care.

What we offer

We offer either 20-minute or 40-minute appointments, depending on the case complexity and needs (the initial visit is 40 minutes). All treatments are delivered by a certified athletic trainer and are customized to align with your diagnosis, personal goals, and individual preferences.

A typical session may include one or more of the following:

  • Manual Therapy: Hands-on techniques to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve function. Manual therapy techniques may include cupping (myofascial decompression), instrument-assisted soft tissue massage (Graston), and shockwave therapy.
  • Active Stretching: reducing muscle tension, improving blood flow, and helping to restore flexibility and joint mobility.
  • Exercise prescription: a personalized and structured physical activity plan designed to load tissue appropriately to restore strength, function, and prevent future injury. If you do not have a physical therapy plan in place, we will create a home exercise program and we can assist with modifications to current activities to avoid further injury while allowing you to be active through your treatment. We will also work with and consult any of your current outside providers as needed, including physical therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors, to ensure we are all part of the same team.
  • Blood Flow Restriction: a form of exercise that uses a cuff, similar to a blood pressure cuff, to restrict blood flow, particularly venous return (the return of blood to the heart) from the limb. This creates a hypoxic (low oxygen) environment within the muscle, signaling the body to respond as if it were under a heavier load. BFR training can be effective for muscle growth (hypertrophy) and strength gains, even with low-intensity exercises. It can be a valuable tool for rehabilitation, allowing individuals to build strength and recover from injuries without placing excessive stress on healing tissues.

Our goal is to make these resources easily accessible throughout your recovery—whether you're managing an acute injury or a chronic condition—while also equipping you with the tools to prevent recurrence and stay as active as possible during the healing process. We are committed to delivering safe and effective treatments in a way that is both convenient and accessible, eliminating the need to navigate multiple offices or juggle numerous appointments to achieve meaningful results.

frequently asked questions

Following your visit with one of our physicians, you may choose to schedule optional personal training or wellness services. To do so, please contact our clinic directly, and our staff will assist you with scheduling and pricing information.

Participation in these services is voluntary, and a physician’s evaluation does not constitute a referral, prescription, or requirement to participate in any non-covered service.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing suitable for your session. We recommend wearing loose fitting clothing that can easily be moved to reach the target treatment areas.

For example, for a knee issue, please wear shorts; for a upper back/neck/shoulder treatment, females please wear a regular clipping brassiere or spaghetti strap tank top for easy access and easy reassembly.

Personal training services focus on general fitness, conditioning, wellness, and performance goals, and do not constitute medical treatment, rehabilitation, or physical therapy.

These non-covered services are not billed to insurance, and are provided solely on a self-pay basis. No claims will be submitted to any third-party payor for such services.

Depending on your movement patterns and needs, your clinician will help you assess the frequency that is right for you. Typically, we encourage our clients to start with 2 sessions per week and then reduce the frequency as their symptoms start to improve!

A majority of our clients then transition to 1 session per week, and then eventually to one of our monthly maintenance options.
