Dr. Zachary Bohart is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedic electrodiagnostics, and comprehensive spasticity management. His clinical work focuses on helping patients with neurologic and musculoskeletal impairments improve function, reduce symptoms, and maintain independence through precise diagnosis and individualized treatment planning.
Dr. Bohart has advanced expertise in electromyography and nerve conduction studies, as well as EMG- and ultrasound-guided injection procedures for the treatment of spasticity. His treatment approach includes botulinum toxin injections, peripheral phenol nerve blocks, and intrathecal baclofen pump management for patients with spasticity related to stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and other neurologic conditions.
He leads the Comprehensive Spasticity Management Clinic at University Orthopedics and also treats patients at rehabilitation hospitals in the Boston area. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Brown University and has been recognized by Boston Magazine as a Top Doctor for multiple consecutive years.
